For the duration of their studies all Ph.D. and M.D./Ph.D. students will be supported by a living stipend (currently $24,500/year paid monthly). In addition, the tuition, fees, and health coverage will be provided.
Financial support comes from a variety of sources including National Institutes of Health (NIH) Research Grants to faculty, grants from foundations and companies to faculty, as well as pre-doctoral fellowships from a variety of government and private organizations. Some combined Md/PhD students who have been accepted into the Medical Scientist’s Training Program (MSTP) are supported during their doctoral studies by this program.
No financial support from the department is available for students in the M.S. program. However, M.S. students may be eligible for financial aid and should contact the Office of Student Financial Services for more information. Resident tuition fees for 2009-10 are $272.30 per credit hour, and non-resident fees are $819.60 per credit hour.
